We are going to Boston in June. Where is the best place to stay in the city that is pretty central to most things?
Answer
Boston has a number of great neighborhoods to stay in, depending on your preferences and budget. However, if you’re looking for a central location that is close to many of the city’s top attractions, I would recommend staying in the downtown area, particularly in the neighborhoods of Back Bay, Beacon Hill, or Downtown Crossing.
Back Bay is known for its beautiful Victorian brownstones and high-end shopping, and is home to popular sites like the Prudential Center, Copley Square, and the Boston Public Library. Beacon Hill is one of Boston’s oldest and most picturesque neighborhoods, with narrow streets lined with historic brick townhouses and gas lamps. It’s also home to the Massachusetts State House and the iconic Cheers bar. Downtown Crossing is a bustling commercial district that is home to many shops, restaurants, and theaters, as well as the historic Freedom Trail.
All three neighborhoods are well-connected to public transportation, making it easy to explore other parts of the city. However, keep in mind that Boston is a fairly compact city, so even if you stay in a slightly less central neighborhood, you should still be able to easily get around by foot, bike, or public transit.
