The ideal eatery for the tourist (or local) who wants a big choice of good, reasonably priced food in an informal setting.
Located just beyond the pedestrian mall in Downtown Crossing, UDG (owned by Uno’s) offers a large variety of pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. Many of the offerings are rather caloric, but calorie-conscious customers may choose the “Build Your Own” salads and sandwiches from a wide selection of ingredients.
Also on offer are a number of coffees, teas, smoothies, and baked goods.
Order at the counter. The restaurant may be crowded at lunchtime since it is in the business district, but lines move fairly quickly.
UDG is open on weekends when a number of other eateries in the area are not.
